Events Calendar, 2009-2010

Got an event you think other writers would be interested in? Let us know.

For a couple of years, as a service to the writing community, we expanded our calendar beyond just Coop events, to include (as we received or learned of them) brief notices of non-Coop literary or writing-related events that involve Coop members and friends.

Because keeping this calendar up to date was a time-consuming option and we had little evidence that it was used by the community, we have suspended this project. It can be started up again if we find there is a demand for the service. The calendar we were using was a free service from Bravenet.com, and allowed the option of community contributions (not quite a Wiki format, since general users could add items but not edit existing items), which would have made it a truly collaborative venture. Again, this can be explored if people indicate an interest.

You can still check out Coop events in the list on this page (below). For some non-Coop events you can find more details, such as fees, deadlines, and contact information, in our emailed member newsletter, the Coop Scoop.

Planning an event? If you're checking for open days or potential conflicts for scheduling your event, click here for links to a variety of calendar sites that might help you see what's happening in Saskatoon beyond the literary sphere on various dates.
